Artist's Statement
My black and white work is shot with a Diana camera, a toy camera from China, which is completely made of plastic. They were made in the 1950s and 1960s. The imperfect lens causes a soft focus not unlike cameras from the 19th century. The silver gelatin prints have been sepia-toned to give the photographs a warm, vintage look.
